Which Thermometer is Right for You?

In a car workshop, an engineer is measuring the temperature for vehicle maintenance.
Ambient Thermometers (Air):
These are the most common temperature measuring devices, commonly found in indoor hygrometers or air conditioning units, such as products like DTM-550 or DTM-305C.
Surface Thermometers (Contact):
If you need to measure the temperature of a metal plate surface or a heat-producing part of a machine, consider thermometers that can withstand high temperatures and are designed for surface contact, such as DTM-507 or DTM-319 which have multiple channels and replaceable temperature sensors.
Infrared Thermometers (Non-Contact):
If the object being measured is in a dangerous or distant location, consider using an infrared thermometer. This allows you to avoid getting too close to high-temperature or electrical equipment and can also measure temperatures in high places like air vents.
