Magnetic Loss at High Temperatures:
Although the TPK-07 has a measurement range of -50°C to 250°C, if it is used to measure objects exceeding 200°C, the internal neodymium magnet may lose its magnetic properties. This results in decreased adhesion and reduced heat transfer efficiency, leading to increased measurement errors.
Heat Absorption by the Magnet:
Measurement errors tend to increase at extremely high temperatures due to users often overlooking the heat absorption effect of the neodymium magnet. As a metal, the magnet absorbs some of the heat from the target surface. This means the temperature near the sensor might not reflect the actual target temperature, especially when accounting for heat dissipation from components.
Recommended Usage Guidelines:
For sensors using neodymium magnets for adhesion, we recommend not measuring temperatures above 100°C. While the sensor can technically withstand up to 250°C, using it beyond 100°C requires substantial expertise. Without the appropriate experience and knowledge, users might encounter larger-than-expected errors, causing confusion and misinterpretation of the results.
